Maldives helpful travel guide information on your budgets

The Maldives are renowned for their luxury island resorts, exceptional service and gourmet dining. The resorts offer a range of dining options, from Bed and Breakfast to All Inclusive resorts, which offer very good value for money.

SEASONS: High season in the Maldives generally tends to fall at Christmas and New Year and then January to April and consequently prices for both flights and accommodation tend to be at their highest. The resorts offer exceptionally good rates and offers from May to September and sometimes until October.

AIRLINES: Scheduled airlines and Thomson fly to the Maldives. Generally speaking airfares to the Indian Ocean are around £400-600 but be prepared to pay an additional £200-400 in taxes and surcharges. Fares are usually less expensive if you travel out midweek. We will always seek the best available fares at the time of quoting/booking.

TRANSFERS: Transfers to the island resorts will be either be an exhilarating speedboat ride or seaplane transfers with stunning views of the beautiful islands and atolls. They will automatically be included in the price of your holiday.

HOTEL ROOMS: The cost of rooms will vary from less than £100 to over £1000 per person per night, depending on where and when you’re travelling. Our advice is always to take the best room type available to your budget, especially as you may only visit the island once in your lifetime.
